ABOUT

For almost 40 years, Kate has lived in an old house filled with books and children and dogs and cats on the Delaware River in New Jersey.  Many years ago, she taught English Literature to very bright students who taught her many things. When she retired, she started to sketch with a pen and to paint with big, broad strokes and to throw big parties for friends and family and to cook and to exchange recipes with the obsessed cooks in her life. She started to compile those recipes into a what is now a cookbook filled with more than 100 recipes and entertaining tips. Then she wrote 17 tales about the hidden lives of a mutt and a pug who love to entertain when the humans in their lives are fast asleep. After searching for an illustrator for many years, she decided to illustrate the books herself - and her characters came to life. She then wrote two holiday tales that finish with songs for children. She still lives on the river. Family and friends and dogs and cats come and go. But when the lights go down, she assumes, the real dance begins.
